A mizusashi in the matsukawabishi shape with maple wood lid. Matsukawabishi is a particular kind of pine bark shape and sometimes called a lozenge shape. The design is commonly seen in Momoyama era samurai and other upper class kimono, lacquer ware, and wood working.
